And now as I waited out in the cold waiting room with my family and hers, I was not feeling any better. There was this feeling in the pit of my stomach and it told me things were not good. And I couldnt shake it. When the doctor walked out my heart sank. I couldnt read the expression on his face and I didnt even want to hear what he was going to tell me. -Nick Jonas?- he said. -Yeah thats me.- I said flatly, bracing myself for the worst news. -I have some bad news son.- He began, my legs felt as if they were going to give out. The doctor looked down and continued. -Katherine is experiencing heart failure because of her cancer. The only way she can be saved is if she gets a heart transplant in the next 24 hours. If a heart does not come in time, then I am afraid we can do nothing.- My family didn’t know how to react but they looked at me with sympathetic eyes. It took a few seconds for me to comprehend the reality of the situation. But in the middle of the hospital, I hit my knees as tears …
